Only four ingredients make this quick to assemble. This bread is perfect with a warm stew, soup or even as a tasty snack. Byerly’s recipe and it rivals the Tastefully Simple Beer Bread I think.

3 cups self-rising flour
1 (12 ounce) can beer, at room temperature
4 Tablespoons sugar
1/4 teaspoon kosher salt

In a large bowl, combine flour, beer, sugar and salt. Pour batter into a well-greased 9×5 inch loaf pan. Bake in a preheated 375 degree oven until brown (60-65 minutes). Tip: For a non-alcoholic version, substitute apple juice for the beer. (I have not tried this.)
