Salmon Glaze

This glaze is great on cedar smoked salmon. Makes enough for 2-4 Salmon Fillets

2 T. Thinly sliced or chopped onion
2 T. Honey
2 T. Brown sugar
1 T. Maple syrup
1 T. Soy sauce
2 T. Dijon mustard
1 t. Balsamic vinegar
1/4 t. Garlic powder
4-6 Basil leaves
Salt to taste

Mix together all the ingredients except salmon. Brush grill with olive oil and grill salmon 15 minutes or until done, turning halfway or more frequently if you prefer. Baste often with glaze. Brush heavily with glaze before serving, and offer extra glaze for pouring on salmon.
